Registered Massage Therapist

We are looking to hire for the position of a Registered Massage Therapist for full/ part time to take care of our existing caseload of our ICBC, extended health and WSBC patients at our MEDILINK Surrey branch.

Requirements for this position

• Registration with the CMTBC (College of Massage Therapist of British Columbia)

• Certification from an accredited school, including supervised practical training

• Proficient knowledge of reflexology, prenatal, hot stone, trigger point, sports, and deep tissue massage.)

• Proficient computer skills

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Excellent people skills.

• Well-groomed, professional appearance.

• Dexterous and able to stand for extended periods.

• Comfortable with performing massages on diverse clients.

• Fluency in English is a must, Punjabi is an advantage 

 

Responsibilities / Job Description: 

• Administer massage techniques, treating soft tissues and joints of the body through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations, remedial exercise programs and client self-help programs

• Assess the root cause of pain

• Utilize a wide range of manipulation techniques to reduce pain

• Keep excellent records of patient health and treatment options

• Explain the causes of pain to each patient clearly and properly explain how to complete strengthening exercises at home

• Increase a patient’s range of motion

• May consult with Medilink physicians and other referring health care professionals when developing treatment plans to assist with treatments for clients.

• Promote relaxation for clients to ensure the maximum benefit of the massage

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Remuneration: negotiable good split. We are flexible to accommodate the successful candidate.   

Salary: negotiable…,  suggestion: $  40.00-$80.00 per hour
